The meander pattern takes its name from the Maeander River in Asia Minor — the ancient river so renowned for its winding course that its name became the word for a sinuous, turning path. Three thousand years of continuous decorative use across civilizations that never met.

The M. M. Rogers Classic Roman Key renders this ancient form expertly in 14K gold against oxidized sterling silver — the same meticulous execution applied to a pattern the ancient Romans would have recognized immediately.
