The Anasazi band — geometric patterns drawn from the pottery and artwork of the Ancestral Pueblo peoples, meticulously rendered in 14K gold and sterling silver.

The Ancestral Pueblo peoples built cliff dwellings across the Colorado Plateau between roughly 100 CE and 1300 CE, leaving behind one of the richest bodies of decorative pottery in the pre-Columbian world. Their geometric patterns — precise, bold, endlessly inventive — remain among the most distinctive design traditions of the American Southwest.

The Story Behind the Design

The geometric patterns of Ancestral Pueblo pottery are immediately recognizable — bold black-on-white designs that covered every surface of vessels used for storage, ceremony, and trade. The rectilinear forms, step patterns, and interlocking geometries speak of a sophisticated visual tradition developed over centuries.

The M. M. Rogers Anasazi band draws from this tradition — not reproducing any specific existing artifact, but working within the visual language of Ancestral Pueblo geometric design to create a pattern genuinely rooted in the Southwest.
